Historic Garden Week in Virginia
Each spring visitors are welcomed to over 250 of Virginia's most beautiful gardens, homes and historic landmarks during "America's Largest Open House." This 8-day statewide event provides visitors a unique opportunity to see unforgettable gardens at the peak of Virginia's springtime color, as well as beautiful houses sparkling with over 2,300 flower arrangements created by Garden Club of Virginia members.
Tour proceeds fund the restoration and preservation of more than 50 of Virginia's historic public gardens and landscapes, a research fellowship program, and a Garden Club of Virginia Centennial project with Virginia State Parks.
Tickets may be purchased in advance by accessing the www.vagardenweek.org website beginning in November. Tickets may be purchased on the day of the tour - please read specific tour descriptions for more information and details. The Historic Garden Week Guidebook will be available in mid-February, and may be purchased online thru www.vagardenweek.org. Our website has tour details including a daily schedule of events.
