Ready to start your nonprofit but overwhelmed by the paperwork? Can't afford to hire a consultant to complete the paperwork for you? Let us help! Starting a new nonprofit is not an effort to be undertaken lightly. Once you've decided that an organization is necessary to fill an unmet need in your community, there are many decisions to be made and a great deal of legal paperwork to be completed. During the Nonprofit Startup Clinic we'll walk you through the 5 critical steps of legal formation: Incorporation (including bylaws) Identification Registration (including budgets) Exemption (including Board requirements) Taxation As well as walk you through some of the questions to ask before starting a nonprofit, filings you’ll need to complete at the federal and state level, and the standard policies and procedures that your new nonprofit will want to have in place. Come prepared to receive guidance on completing all of your mandatory paperwork including timelines, requirements, and restrictions. You will be provided with all of the necessary templates and instructions to file your own paperwork at a later date. This is a working session. Space is limited so that our team can give you the assistance that you need. Registration is non- transferrable, non-refundable. Note: This classroom is not handicap accessible.
